Since the opening of Sheep Bum Yarn Shop in October 2010 I have attended four craft shows (well, one was more like a flea market). The first one in Downingtown, PA was the most successful so far and the last one in Landisville, PA (June 18th) not so much. It was a flop because there were hardly any consumers. The thought going around was the lack of consumer advertising. Even if a show does not go well, I still love to meet other crafters, see their work, learn something new and hear about other future events. I always try to stray from my table to browse around. The best thing a vendor should have is a helper. Especially a helper that is well educated about your product and one you feel comfortable leaving alone. I did have a great time at this show. We had friendly neighbors, the weather was sunny and hot, but we were under the shade of trees. I loved that vendors could park their cars at their booths.
I bought two hand crocheted items from one crafter named: Granny’s Creations ~ Eva Lauer in Lancaster, PA:

My one neighbor was selling lovely handmade cottages. You can find her Etsy shop here: www.LindaIrwinCottages.etsy.com
